The Plot

Gotham City, 2008. The Batman is on constant alert with verious criminal outbreaks all over the city. What doesn't help is that there is a criminal uprising that is beginning to spread quickly through the underbelly of the place. A mysterious leader, with a disfiguring grin and a liking for purple attire has appeared from what seemed no-where, worrying citizens and causing mass panic. Where is the Batman in their time of need? Where are the police? They are caught up in trying to solve who is setting off the other little crimes ricocheting round the areas that the Joker has been spotted. Gathering alliances, or simply causing more chaos? It is now your turn to decide who you will be in this twisted little fairytale. A hero who runs beside the Batman, or a psychopathic killer who prefers the Joker? Neutral? A raging cop bent on revenge? Or make up your own story.

Three…Two…One…

The calm before the storm has gone away. The fragile glass of peace has shattered as attacks from unknown enemies strike three different locations. An attack in Tokyo, another in New York City, and finally, the Justice League Watchtower itself. Two of Earth’s greatest superheroes, Superman and Batman, disappear in the wake of the fallen structure as it plummets to Earth. Other heroes, such as Wonder Woman, The Flash, and most of the core Justice League also went down with the great space station.

They are forever remembered for the ultimate sacrifice to the cause of peace, security, and justice to all. The populace loses hope and lashes out at one another in fear and desperation. The sword is raised by one brother against another, while a nuclear showdown between nations brings the minutes ever closer to midnight: complete annihilation of our species and our world.

Certain men take advantage of this new crisis while others use the Watchtower tragedy as a rally cry to bring themselves together in one of the most dangerous times that we will ever encounter. Remnants of the Justice League and the JLJ have merged to form “the Great Alliance”; with newly anointed Wonder Woman, Donna Troy and the Citizen Soldier, David Alastair to lead this elite group of heroes. As they attempt to restore equilibrium among the Earth, a force lurks at every shadow…pulling the strings behind the curtain.

No one knew who orchestrated those attacks and there seemed to be no leads at all. As The Oracle and the Teen Wonder in Robin try to piece the puzzle together, something goes down beyond our scope of perception. A dimensional barrier created from an unknown source blocks out the Dai Makaichou from constantly visiting our universe while locking in the likes of Yggdrasilians inhabiting this universe, stripping them of their powers and immortality. Other beings from Heaven and Hell are locked out while the dead cannot continue onto their respective afterlives.

In short, Heaven, Hell, or the grave cannot fight with us or against us.

The countdown is ticking, and its pace is quickening. Can our heroes find who or what is behind all of this? Will chaos reign supreme this time around? As our cities and fields become soaked in tears, iron, and blood, we march on towards the final conflict, the final confrontation, that last battle. Whatever you want to call it: the End Time Scenario, the Apocalypse, The Age of Iron…it’s here.

In these dark times, we ask this burning question: Is this our solemn hour?
